Football Night

First of all, I would like to point out that the Arkansas Razorbacks played Missouri and kicked some serious rear!
Anyway, ;) I was invited by my fella to come over to his house and join him and his family for Oklahoma Football night. Unfortunately it was the same time as the Razorbacks game and my guy doesn't like them to much. So, the night was filled with cheers, barbeque, and trash talk. Not all of the trash talk was directed at the opponent of OU. SOme of it was, dare I say it, the RAZORBACKS!!! Yes, he was in trouble a lot last night, but what can I do? He's a boy and it was football night. But besides that, I got to meet his aunt and cousins who were very nice, and I got to see what happens when OU loses and reaction of diehard fans. I must say it was new a little scary. yeah :) but all in all it was a good night and most importantly, Arkansas University won ;)

Such a Task as This

Oh yes, such fun, such filth, such sweat, such......yeah anyway I cleaned my blazer that was passed down from my brother to me. There were things in there that would have to be identified in a scientific lab but I don't really want to know what they are.

But it's all okay and safe now. I cleaned, vaccumed, sweated, and scrubbed till my hands smelled funky and I could see the original carpet, (in some places). I now feel that it is safe to go from one place to another in my blazer without catching some unknown illness from what's growing inside. Isn't it wonderful? :)

Such excitement!!!

Okay so it's been a pretty good day. I worked in the class with the kids at church, got a big hug from my favorite fella, ate a HUGE lunch at Olive Garden, and kinda got a job interview at one of my favorite places ever!
Okay let me backtrack. A few months ago, I filled out a crazy bunch of applications for different places. One of them was for Borders Bookstore. I love that place mainly because it's a bookstore and it smells like coffee :) anyway, I didn't hear back from them until a minute after we walked into our house this afternoon. I answered the phone it and talked to a woman who asked me a few questions about my schedule. Then she setup an appointment for an interview this Thursday at 2:30!!!! I jumped and danced a little bit and tackled my dad. I am extatic. The only other bookstore that I really love, and is actually my favorite is Book-a-holic because they have quality books for amazing prices, but Borders it the awesome of the awesome too :) I'm so excted, so if you would like, I would a appreciate a few prayers for Thursday.
Thanks everyone (whoever you are that might be reading this)
Have a great rest of the day!

Days

Welp, I am officially ten days into my "College Experience". It's the beautiful wonderful Saturday night and I have just returned from a trip to Freddy's. I discovered this magical place of hotdogs, shoestring french fries, and custard last thursday after helping a friend setup for her wedding which took place last night. The days have finally begun to cool off as August comes to a close. For some reason, August is just not my favorite month. Is anyone else that way or is it just me? It's the hottest, school starts; it's just always an uncomfortable time.

Speaking of school. I am in my second semester of college, (thanks to some handy dandy concurrent credit classes in high school) and am working at the moment to a degree in speech pathology which is sure to change eventually I am sorry to say. I have many ideas about what I want as a career. Ultamately after I save up some money doing some kind of work, I plan to open a used bookstore. Just to get this out right now, I AM A BOOKWORM! I love books! Everyday at college when I have an hour for lunch, I sit on these secluded steps next to the university theater and eat my peanut butter and jelly sandwich and read out of my latest novel choice. Some people say that it's sad and I need to go talk to people and get to know some other students, but I tried that the first day and all I got was a story about the opening beach party the night before and the dismal events that followed. All in all.....I much prefer my silent steps and the comforting pages of my book.

Just a few more tidbits about me in case anyone's intersted, I love my church and everyone there and I am hardcore on God, but don't let it scare you! I'm actually very nice dispite the current views of religious people in America today.

I have a bucket list like you wouldn't believe! I want to travel all over and jump out of airplanes and get my pilot's liscence and write a book. Just a few out of the gazillion in my brain. I don't know if anyone will actually read this but it seems like people will read just about anything today so even if no one does, it's nice to have a place to vent my thoughts so I can give my head a rest. I have a mom and a dad and two older brothers. One of my brothers is married and the other is not. They are both awesome and they both have contributed a great deal to my fighting skills and violence over the years ;). But they're great. They make sure that they're the only one's picking on me which is nice at times, but I will say that words cannot express the happiness that I felt when I gained a sister through the marriage between M (Sister-in-law) and N (Brother).

Well it is officially 9:55 pm here in the golden flatlands and I have babbled and babbled and am still babbling. So, to anyone who just happens to take the hour to read this giant post, goodnight and have a great day tomorrow. I plan to.
